No, we're building Beazy as a platform to support creatives and make their job easier. Beazy is free to use however we do have paid services and a membership option for those who require them.

How can I get an invoice?

Unfortunately we don't have an automatic system for invoicing yet. Drop us an email at invoices@beazy.co to get all the documents you need. Make sure to indicate the transaction number, visible in the URL of your conversation with the owner of the location.

Does Beazy have tools to help me manage my project?

The “replacement value” refers to the current price of your equipment and how much it would cost to replace. In the case of a studio it refers to the average worth of the equipment & furniture inside.

How can I create a project and why should I?

You can post a project by creating a free Beazy account and selecting Create. Yes, it's that simple 😁 If you are not sure this is the way to go, submit a brief to our team by filling in a small form and we will answer ASAP.
Creating a project guarantees that you find the best offer without having to message potentially uninterested suppliers or talent. It's definitely the fastest way to address our entire community.

Does Beazy have tools to help me manage my project?

How can I make sure the talent is qualified for a project?

Talent profiles on Beazy offer a lot of information on who the talent is and on their work. We strongly suggest you look at their profile and also quickly visit their associated link, but your best option is simply to reach out to them.

How does Beazy process payments?

Beazy works with Stripe. Stripe builds technology that’s used by millions of companies around the world such as Amazon, Google, and Zoom. They help with everything from accepting payments, to managing subscriptions, to verifying identities.

Is my project eligible to receive a project manager?

Project managers are only assigned to projects with a total budget of over €5.000, although there are exceptions. Please schedule a free consultation with us to learn more.

What does a project manager do?

A professional project manager will be working directly with you to clearly outline the project's direction, after which they'll completely take over every aspect and report to you. Having a project manager on board allows you to completely outsource the production and focus on what matters!

What if I don't know what I want or need yet?

You should definitely talk with us! We'll help you structure your ideas, figure out your project's needs, define requirements, and where to go from there. You can also explore the profiles of local creatives and reach out to them via in-app messaging when you create an account.

What if you don't provide what I'm looking for?

Absolutely! You can apply, with a proposal, to any project you're interested in, there are no limits.

Can I reach out to Beazy's creative community for help, advice and support?

Yes, definitely! Find like-minded people and get in touch with them, ask something publicly or to a specific group of people. Have a look at your possibilities here.

Does Beazy have tools to help me network and collaborate with other creatives?

Yes, you can search for all types of talents around the world, see all their useful links and get in touch. You can also post a project with details on what you're doing, invite other creatives to apply, and start creating together! We have the perfect tools to manage your projects and an expanding community happy to have you.

How to change notification settings

To choose what you want to be notified for, in other words, to set up your notifications, you have to click on your profile picture in the navigation bar, select my settings, and in the settings for your account, find notifications.We might email you to support you with urgent rentals but you're free to opt out of those emails at any time. We just want to make sure you don't miss any opportunities ☺️
On the community page find the ⚙️ to edit your settings.

Is access to certain projects restricted?

No at all. Beazy's mission is to democratize access and opportunity in the creative industry. You'll always be able to create a free account and apply to work with any brand. No matter how big or small.

Why do I have to give my personal details when setting up an account?

For most online businesses and in order to use a digital service, you'll need to provide some personal details. We need to confirm that people creating accounts and setting up payments are above the age of 18 and we are required by law to have a certain amount of information.

It's always possible to delete your account and request to delete your personal information whenever you want.

How do I start sharing my gear?

The first step is to sign up to register on Beazy. Once you sign in you can create a listing to share your equipment. Write a short description, add accurate pictures and define the price. Make sure to update your banking details, under settings, to receive payments.

Are photos necessary?

Yes, pictures are very important. Aside from showing that you really own the item, it also shows in what condition it is. Good photos are a major factor to improve rentals frequency, as listings with pictures get rented considerably more often than those without.

Can I choose whom I rent my gear to?

Of course. You are free to fix your own price, package multiple items together and accept/decline any requests as you see fit.

Do I have to give my exact address?

+

No, you do not. We recommend that you keep your address private before the transaction is confirmed. A postal code is enough when creating a listing.

Do I have to leave a review?

+

It is not mandatory but it is greatly recommended. Reviews help us monitor our community and identify back actors early, while also helping the other party improve.

Do you have Insurance?

Beazy doesn’t provide insurance as of the 1st of November 2021. We highly recommend that you purchase your insurance policy if you’re interested in both lending or renting equipment and locations through the Beazy platform.

How do I cancel my booking?

You might want to cancel because you didn't receive an answer or something else happened.

For pre-authorised transactions, you have to wait for it to be rejected or wait 72 hours which will lead to the request being automatically rejected if there's no response.

Reach out to the supplier ASAP and let them know you want to cancel the booking, If it's accepted select the dispute button and get in touch with Beazy via support@beazy.co. In the case that there isn’t a clear cancellation policy defined in the listing, Beazy’s cancellation policy will be applied.

How much money can I earn?

The monthly amount you can earn depends on the value of your gear, the rental price you fixed, and how often it is available. You could earn anything from 50€ to over 2’000€ per month.

How should I fix the price?

You are free to choose! We strongly recommend looking at similar items on Beazy and how they are priced and positioning yourself from there. Don’t worry, you can change this at any time.

I am leaving the city in which I am sharing my gear. What should I do?

You can either close your listings while you’re away or simply change it to a new location.

I damaged the gear I rented. What should I do?

+

Please contact both the supplier and the Beazy team as soon as possible so that we can work on solving the situation.

Someone wants to rent my gear outside the Beazy platform. What should I do?

Say no. We will only be able to help you in case something goes wrong if the transaction has been processed through Beazy. It is very important to keep your conversations and transactions on Beazy, otherwise, you won't be covered by our policies; We also won’t be able to know what happened and no contract will bind your renter and yourself.

Someone wants to rent my gear. Are they trustworthy?

We put a lot of effort into making sure that the people sharing through Beazy are trustworthy, but you should always make sure by yourself. Feel free to ask for more information, pictures, contact information, etc. Please contact us via support@beazy.co if you are doubting the person requesting to rent your gear.

The gear I rented is damaged or does not correspond to the description. What should I do?

Please contact both the supplier and the Beazy team as soon as possible. We will try our best to find an alternative so that you can still shoot and will investigate the situation to determine if it was intentional or not.

What are the late rental Drop-off Fees?

+

Rentals dropped off after 2 PM on the drop-off day, or after the previously agreed upon time, are subject to a late drop-off fee that equals a one-day rental fee for the Listing. The renter must pay any late drop-off fee, which will be charged every 24 hours after the late drop-off until the rental is returned to the supplier. Late rental drop-off fees are imposed at the supplier’s discretion. For location rentals, the extra time spent on location will be charged accordingly and at the supplier’s discretion.

What are the rental Pick-up & Drop-off Times?

Unless both the renter and the supplier agree, in writing on the transaction conversation, to another time and schedule, Beazy suggests that renters must pick up the rented items from 2 PM on the rental pick-up day and return equipment by 2 PM on the drop-off day; Late rental drop-off fees may apply if any item is returned later than the agreed-upon date and time.

What can cause a transaction to fail?

Occasionally, the verification of a user's ID might be required to process payments. The solution is to sign in to Beazy and verify the payment settings. If a verification step is necessary please complete it.


What commission do you take?

We take a 23% transaction fee on each rental.

What does replacement value mean?

The “replacement value” refers to the current price of your equipment and how much it would cost to replace.

What is the cancellation policy for my equipment rental?

+

Rental cancellation fees and rules are imposed by the Owner of the listing. In the case that there isn’t a clear cancellation policy defined in the listing, renters will follow Beazy’s cancellation policy, which states that renters can cancel a rental request before it is accepted, more than 48 hours before the start date, or within 2 hours of the request being accepted, at which point the rental is fully refundable. If the renter cancels within 48 hours of the rental pick-up/booking date, they will receive a 50% refund. If the renter cancels within 24 hours of the rental pick-up/booking date, the rental is non-refundable. It is the users’ obligation to follow up on the communication related to the transaction and when this does not happen Beazy has the right to intervene.

What should I do If I move or go away for a while?

You can either close your listings while you’re away or simply change them to a new location.

When and where do I return the gear?

This has to be discussed between you and the owner of the gear in question.

When do I get my money back?

In the case of a rejected transaction what happens is a reversal, which means that there will be no payment and no refund. It'll appear as if the whole transaction never happened and you'll have the funds available in your account in a few days.
When we proceed with a refund, it takes around 5-10 business days for the funds to return to your account.


When do I pay?

You will be charged as soon as you make a rental request but Beazy keeps your money in escrow until both you and the owner mark the order as completed.

When do I receive my money?

3 to 5 business days after your order has been marked as completed by both parties involved.

How do I charge for extra hours on location?

If agreed between both parties, the renter can stay longer than the booked time. To charge for the extra hours the renter will have to create another booking request for the amount of extra time spent on location. This is simply a way to cover the extra costs of the rental and the supplier does not have to make the space available. Beazy is working on a better solution. For location rentals, the extra time spent on location will be charged accordingly and at the supplier’s discretion.

How do I know if my place can be suitable for photo or videoshoots?

Our users are always looking for very different spaces from one project to another, that’s why there aren’t any particular requirements on the size and look of the space. Please verify if you are able to supply a film location release form to the renter. If you are still unsure, feel free to contact the Beazy team to get some help.

How do I start sharing my location?

I damaged the location I rented. What should I do?

Please contact both the supplier and the Beazy team as soon as possible so that a claim can be filed and the situation solved. By the way, this is why we recommend having your own insurance.

Someone wants to rent my location. Are they trustworthy?

We put a lot of effort into making sure that the people sharing through Beazy are safe and trustworthy, but you should always make sure. Feel free to ask for more information, pictures, contact information, etc. Always ask for the details of the shooting, the number of people who will join, and always require the renters to have their own liability insurance. Please contact us via contact@beazy.co if you have any doubt, we will gladly help.

Someone wants to rent my studio outside the Beazy platform. What should I do?

Say no. We will only be able to help you in the case that something goes wrong if the transaction has been processed through Beazy. It is very important to keep as much of your conversations and transactions on Beazy, so that your renter and yourself are bound by a contract, defined in our Terms of Use.

The location I rented does not correspond to the description. What should I do?

Please contact both the owner and the Beazy team via support@beazy.co as soon as possible. We will try our best to find an alternative so that you can still shoot and and will try to solve the situation quickly.
